Wild Beauty

Aesthetic simplicity, minimal post processing, true to nature the way it was observed.

Wildlife photography is a profoundly humbling discipline. It demands meticulous planning and preparation, patience, and often strong nerves combined with a robust tolerance of discomfort. With some expeditions, the risk of falling on misadventures that result in disease, injury or worse becomes very real. In turn, wildlife photography may engrain in the person behind the camera the ability to quietly absorb disappointment, control their frustrations, and to persevere in the face of adverse or outright hostile conditions. As photographic projects become more challenging, you better firmly tie your ambitions to realistic expectations.

With the Wild Beauty gallery, I like to focus on moments when everything falls into place: anticipating an observation from an ideal distance and angle with great light resulting in a well framed and perfectly exposed photograph.
