Back in the days of my youth, the TV documentaries by Prof. Bernhard Grzimek of Frankfurt Zoo, and of course by my all-time hero Sir David Attenborough awakened my interest in Africa's wilderness. Most of the scenes I remember were filmed on east Africa's great plains. This gallery contains a selection of photographs of my first excursion to east Africa. The areas portrayed are Chyulu Hills, a community conservancy at Kimana, Amboseli National Park, the Masai Mara, the Aberdare National Park, and Solio Ranch.
